There’s something I’ve noticed over the years of doing this work.
Clients will leave a session with me and say things like:
-
“That was incredible.”
-
“I feel completely different.”
-
“I don’t even know how to explain what just happened…”
And for a long time, I understood that it was powerful…
But I hadn’t fully broken down what was actually happening inside the session until recently.
And once I saw it clearly, it changed the way I understand my work and how I support my clients in integrating it.
The Truth: We’re Not Just “Talking” in My Sessions
When you’re in a session with me, we’re not operating at a surface level.
We’re not just:
-
discussing your week
-
analyzing your thoughts
-
or trying to “figure things out” logically
We are entering a deep, present-moment state of awareness.
This is where:
-
your subconscious becomes accessible
-
your nervous system softens
-
your defenses lower
-
and the real patterns begin to reveal themselves
It’s a space of high presence and high openness.
And this is where real transformation happens.
What It Feels Like (From Your Side)
When you’re in that space, something interesting happens.
You are:
-
fully present
-
deeply engaged
-
emotionally connected
-
following everything we’re exploring
…but at the same time, you’re not mentally “tracking” in a structured way.
You’re not:
-
organizing the conversation
-
taking notes in your head
-
or storing it in a linear way
Instead, you’re experiencing it.
Which is why you leave feeling:
-
expanded
-
lighter
-
clearer
…but also like…
“I don’t fully know how to put into words what just shifted.”
What’s Actually Happening
(Behind the Scenes)
From my perspective as a facilitator, there’s a lot happening in real time.
Inside the session, I am:
1. Attuning
I’m reading:
-
your emotional tone
-
your energy
-
your subtle shifts
-
the things you’re saying—and not saying
2. Recognizing Patterns (In Real Time)
I’m identifying:
-
belief loops
-
identity conflicts
-
protective parts
-
where your values and actions are misaligned
3. Creating Access
I’m guiding you into:
-
deeper emotional layers
-
root experiences
-
subconscious material
-
somatic awareness
4. Reframing and Reorganizing
Together, we:
-
shift meaning
-
update perception
-
reorganize how you see yourself and your life
5. Facilitating Identity-Level Shifts
You leave:
-
seeing differently
-
feeling differently
-
relating to yourself differently
This is not surface-level coaching.
This is root-level, identity-level transformation happening in real time.
What’s Happening Neurologically
(And Why This Work Is So Powerful)
There’s also a neurological component to what happens inside my sessions that most people don’t realize.
When we drop into that deep, present, connected space…
your brain begins to shift states.
Instead of operating in your typical analytical, problem-solving mode (beta brain waves), you begin to enter what’s known as a theta brain wave state.
Theta is the same state associated with:
-
deep meditation
-
hypnosis
-
breathwork
-
early sleep cycles
-
and subconscious reprogramming
This is the state where:
-
your subconscious mind becomes more accessible
-
your nervous system softens
-
your defenses lower
-
and deeper emotional material can safely surface
Why This Matters...
In a theta state, your brain is:
-
more open to new perspectives
-
more receptive to emotional processing
-
more capable of reorganizing patterns at the root
This is why the work we do together can create real, lasting shifts—not just surface-level insight.
We’re not just talking about your patterns.
We’re accessing and updating them at the level they were created.
The Tradeoff
There is, however, a natural tradeoff to being in this state.
When you’re in theta:
-
you’re deeply present
-
you’re feeling and processing in real time
-
but your brain is not prioritizing structured memory encoding
Which means:
You experience the shift…
…but you may not be actively organizing or storing it in a way that’s easy to recall later.
This is why clients often say:
“I know something big shifted… I just can’t fully explain it.”
This Is Also an Advanced Skill
Not everyone can access this state easily—especially while in conversation.
Being able to:
-
stay present
-
access emotion
-
explore subconscious material
-
and remain engaged
is actually a trained and developed capacity.
Over time, my clients build this skill.
They learn how to:
-
stay with themselves longer
-
access deeper layers more quickly
-
and become more conscious inside these expanded states
Why This Makes My Work Different
Most coaching stays in beta:
-
thinking
-
analyzing
-
strategizing
My work intentionally moves beyond that.
We enter:
-
deeper awareness
-
subconscious access
-
emotional integration
…and then bring it back into conscious structure.
This is what allows for:
-
faster transformation
-
deeper healing
-
and more sustainable change
The Missing Piece I Had to Recognize...
Here’s the part I recently got clear on:
Transformation is not the same as integration.
Insight is not the same as retention.
Awareness is not the same as change (yet).
Even though the session is powerful…
If we don’t consciously anchor and integrate it,
the depth can become something you felt…
…but not something you can fully hold and apply.
Why It Can Feel Hard to “Take With You”
Because during the session:
-
you’re in a highly receptive, almost meditative state
-
your analytical mind is quieter
-
your system is processing, not organizing
So while everything is landing on a deep level…
…it’s not always being encoded in a structured, conscious way.
Which means:
-
you feel the shift
-
but you don’t always have language for it
-
and you may not fully know how to replicate it on your own
How I’ve Evolved My Approach
Once I understood this, I didn’t change the depth of my work.
I added something to it.
Now, my sessions move through three intentional layers:
1. Descent (Depth)
We drop in.
This is:
-
presence
-
exploration
-
emotional and subconscious work
2. Illumination (Awareness)
We begin to see clearly.
This is:
-
naming patterns
-
identifying truth
-
creating insight and perspective shifts
3. Integration (Structure)
This is the piece that makes everything stick.
Here, we:
-
pause and articulate what just shifted
-
anchor your key insights
-
define identity changes
-
map how this shows up in your real life
What This Looks Like Practically
Inside sessions now, I’ll gently pause and ask:
-
“What just clicked for you there?”
-
“What are you seeing now that you weren’t seeing before?”
-
“If you had to put that into one sentence, what would it be?”
At the end of our session, we anchor:
-
your top insights
-
your identity shift
-
what you’re taking with you
-
how this translates into your life
Because the goal isn’t just for you to experience transformation…
It’s for you to own it, repeat it, and build on it.
We double down on this in your session follow ups with our post session homework and inquiry questions. This helps you really embody the deep work that we do.
The Truth About This Work
My sessions are designed to take you deep.
That will never change.
But what I’ve come to understand is this:
You don’t need to go deeper.
You need to be able to hold what we’ve already accessed.
That’s where your power is.
That’s where your growth compounds.
That’s where your life actually changes.
If you’ve ever left a session with me feeling:
-
expanded
-
shifted
-
but unsure how to explain it
Nothing is wrong.
You were just in a space that most people rarely access.
Now, we’re simply adding the structure that allows you to:
-
carry it forward
-
integrate it fully
-
and embody it in your everyday life
And that…
…is where transformation becomes mastery.
